After a century of success, the bank chose their seventh CEO because of his unique perspective, exemplary financial services career and passion for continuing the spirit of the community at the Bank of Sun Prairie.
Jimmy Kauffman has the unique distinction of being the first CEO who is not a former employee of the bank. However, he is no stranger to Wisconsin. He understands the future of community banking, providing customers with knowledgeable, personal service and the importance of technology to enhance banking convenience.

Alan has been in banking with Bank of Sun Prairie since 1983 and has held many leadership roles during that time. Alan was promoted to CFO in 2005. His educational experiences include a bachelor’s in finance from University of Wisconsin – Whitewater, completion degrees from Graduate School of Banking and a Wisconsin real estate broker’s license. Alan is currently the president of Exchange Club of Sun Prairie and a Chamber Ambassador for the Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce.
John has been in the banking and retail industries in Wisconsin for 25 years and is currently executive vice president, chief retail officer with Bank of Sun Prairie after joining the organization in 2015. John was previously senior vice president, district manager for a regional bank based in Wisconsin. At Bank of Sun Prairie, John heads up the retail and customer experience division, small-business banking, consumer lending, deposit operations, training, private banking, marketing and community engagement.
He is passionate about his work in community banking, which empowers him to make real impacts on the lives of individuals, families and small businesses in the greater Dane County area. He and his wife, Gabrielle, have four children, and they live in Cottage Grove. John is former president of the Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the board for the Miracle League of Dane County. He is also a dedicated and passionate volunteer firefighter for the Sun Prairie Fire & Rescue.
Chris joined Bank of Sun Prairie in 2020, currently serving as senior vice president, chief business banking officer. He has 20+ years in banking with an emphasis on business lending and managing extensive portfolios. Chris was previously with Bank of Sun Prairie and was thrilled to rejoin the team after spending eight years in central Wisconsin.
In his time outside of the bank, Chris is very involved in volunteer activities for economic development organizations, civic and charitable foundations. He enjoys being involved in the Sun Prairie community. He and his wife welcomed their second child to the family in 2020.
Joe began his banking career in 1995 as a teller and is nearing 30 years of industry experience. He has worked in many areas of banking, commercial banking, treasury management, payment processing services, retail banking, mortgage origination, loan operations, compliance risk management and facilities management.
In 2016, Joe joined Bank of Sun Prairie when he created and led the business solutions area of the bank. In 2020, Joe joined the bank’s senior executive team and now serves at senior vice president, director of risk management..
Very active in the community, Joe currently serves as board chair for the Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce and as a board director for Sunshine Place in Sun Prairie. In his free time, you will find Joe at his children’s sporting events, playing golf, working on home improvements, watching Wisconsin’s sports teams and spending time at the lake in northern Wisconsin.
Nick currently serves as senior vice president, business banker and business development manager for Bank of Sun Prairie. His banking career spans the past 17 years and has provided him the opportunity to work with a diverse group of businesses across a wide range of industries. His primary focus is learning about each company’s strategic goals and designing financing structures that achieve those goals. Nick received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Edgewood College and later earned a master’s in business administration and accounting, also from Edgewood College.
He grew up on a small family dairy farm south of Madison which is recognized as a century farm and still in operation today. In his free time, Nick enjoys fishing, hiking, weightlifting, and, most importantly, spending time with his wife and son.
Vinnie has more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry and has been with Bank of Sun Prairie since 2015 and now serves as vice president, senior business banker. Vinnie is passionate about helping people solve their cash flow issues and loves assisting small businesses.
Vinnie and his wife are empty nesters with two daughters in college. He serves as treasurer of the Central Midwest Ballet Academy, even though his girls are no longer there. He enjoys sports photography, hiking and cycling.
Jeffrey has been in banking since 2009, with most of his time in bank management and, since 2019, in business lending. He joined Bank of Sun Prairie in 2021 as vice president, business banker. Over his career, he has managed existing portfolios of businesses to help them succeed and gained extensive experience in lending and credit analysis; his sales leadership skills have proven to promote business growth across organizations. Jeffrey holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in financial management from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
Jeffrey is a Sun Prairie native now settled in DeForest with his wife and three boys. In his free time, Jeffrey and his family love boating; waterskiing; snow skiing; and staying busy with the boys’ baseball, soccer, and football.
Stephen has served the capital needs of businesses throughout his career, much of it in commercial banking in south-central Wisconsin after starting out with WBD, Inc. as a project analyst. He is currently vice president, business banker with Bank of Sun Prairie. His combination of experience has given him the opportunity to serve as a lead SBA lender, helping small businesses secure government loan assistance.
Stephen holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. When not at work, he enjoys playing drums, disc golf, darts, and softball as well as watching football; he lives in Sun Prairie.
Heather joined the Bank of Sun Prairie in 2022 as vice president, business solutions manager. She has 17 years in banking with community businesses and their business banking needs. Heather previously worked at a regional bank based in Wisconsin for more than 16 years and held various roles managing multiple locations and large portfolio branches and, most recently, commercial businesses.
She is passionate about her work and focusing her attention on the community and those businesses who want and need assistance growing their organizations. In her time outside of the bank, Heather is the treasurer on the auxiliary board for her local American Legion and enjoys volunteering to support her community.
Rob has nine years of experience in the banking industry and has been with Bank of Sun Prairie since 2019, most currently as assistant vice president, business banker. His experience includes retail banking, branch management and portfolio management.
Rob lives in Sun Prairie with his wife, two sons, and their dog. He is treasurer and board member for Sun Prairie Youth Baseball and Softball and is passionate about volunteering for many charity events. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors, hunting, and fishing with family and friends, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Wisconsin Badgers.
Jason has been in banking for more than 16 years and with Bank of Sun Prairie since 2010, currently serving as assistant vice president, portfolio manager. His experience includes credit analysis, commercial lending, underwriting and document review. In his current role, he supports a broad range of business development efforts for commercial lending customers.
Jason lives in Deerfield with his wife, three children and two dogs. He is a youth softball coach for a team in the Windmill Fastpitch Softball League of South-Central Wisconsin and is active in his community. In his free time, he enjoys reading, camping and traveling.
After 23 years in retail management, Phil started a new career in 2008 as a branch manager for a regional bank. In 2016, he made the move to community banking, joining the team at Bank of Sun Prairie as senior branch manager. He has enjoyed the opportunity to make an impact in the communities the bank serves, integral to its mission.
Phil is board president of Colonial Club Senior Activity Center and contributes his time to several other community activities throughout the year, including constructing the bank’s illuminating festive holiday float. Phil transitioned to the commercial department in 2021 as portfolio manager and has welcomed the opportunity to partner with businesses to help them succeed. When not at work, Phil enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Alex has been in banking since 2017 primarily on the commercial banking side with a few years on the credit side. He is currently junior business banker with Bank of Sun Prairie. Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. He enjoys golfing, hunting, watching football, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and Milwaukee Brewers when not at work. He is a Middleton native.
Laura has more than 15 years of community banking experience, primarily working in the commercial and residential loan areas. Working for Bank of Sun Prairie since 2016, Laura found her professional fit in the compliance area and now serves as assistant vice president, loan compliance officer. She holds her bachelor’s degree in finance from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and Master of Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University.
Outside of work, Laura helped organize Wisconsin’s first women’s pinball league and the league’s charity events within the community. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and participating in Wisconsin festivities.
Andrew has been in the banking industry since 2010 and joined Bank of Sun Prairie in 2016. His prior roles and experience include loan operations and processing, commercial underwriting, commercial lending, and credit administration. He now serves as Credit Officer and oversees the credit department.
Andrew is a University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse graduate with a bachelor's degree in finance and economics. He lives in Sun Prairie with his wife and two children. When not at work, he enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends, cooking, reading, and cheering on Wisconsin sports teams. He also serves as treasurer for Sun Prairie Youth Baseball & Softball, a nonprofit little league organization.
Christopher has been in the banking industry for more than 25 years, joining Bank of Sun Prairie in 2009. He is currently vice president, credit manager, with a concentration in commercial credit analysis.
Christopher serves on the board of directors of the Sun Prairie Ice Arena, representing the bank. He lives in Stoughton with his wife. In Christopher's free time, he and his wife like to travel and visit breweries. He enjoys reading and listening to music.
Justin has worked in IT since 2008 in various IT leadership and technical roles. He currently serves as vice president, information technology for Bank of Sun Prairie after joining the organization in 2021. Earlier in his career, Justin worked in sales and consulting in the audio/video industry and as an audio engineer and sound designer in postproduction for TV, film, and radio.
Justin holds an associate degree from Madison Area Technical College and a master recording program general degree from the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences. He lives in Madison with his dog Charlie and will talk music with anyone willing to listen. When not at work, Justin enjoys live music; baseball; golf; and playing drums, guitar, and bass.
Bill has been in banking management for more than 17 years. He has led several customer-facing areas and backroom operations as well as regional and community banks. His professional passion is in establishing and facilitating training programs to foster bank-wide synergy and increased sales. At Bank of Sun Prairie, Bill developed the impactful, widely adopted risk and vendor management programs.
He is a University of Wisconsin – Madison graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business management and sociology. Bill spends his free time as a master-level softball umpire and volleyball referee and is a member of the Association of Talent and Development and the Honor Guard for the DeForest Knights of Columbus. He and his wife, Deb, live in DeForest, where they spoil their five grandchildren, including twins who arrived in 2021.
Alex has been in banking since 2006 and in that time earned his bachelor’s in economics from University of Wisconsin – Madison and in accounting from Lakeland University. In 2018 he joined Bank of Sun Prairie and currently serves as vice president, internal auditor. Over his banking career he served in retail roles such as personal banker and assistant branch manager, in a commercial online banking call center, and most recently in a regulatory capacity as examiner.
In his free time, Alex enjoys spending time with his family and coaching his four-year-old son’s tee-ball team. Linguistically, Alex proclaims his love of the Oxford comma and “word-of-the-day” calendars.
Rod joined the senior executive team as senior vice president, director of wealth management and trust for Bank of Sun Prairie in 2020. He has more than 26 years of experience in banking, with expertise in wealth management and trust operations. He has led trust and investment departments and managed client relationships and investment portfolios.
Rod served on corporate discretionary trust committee for a large regional bank and earned his Trust Certificate from Cannon Trust School. In his free time, Rod delights audiences while performing in his own rock-’n’-roll act and enjoys relaxing with his wife, Lana, and their family.
Kristin is a trust officer, handling trust, guardianship and estate-administration matters. Prior to joining Bank of Sun Prairie in early 2020, she was a senior associate attorney with Axley Brynelson in Madison, where she litigated complex state and federal court claims on licensure matters, insurance and property disputes, personal injury and family trusts. Prior to moving to Madison, she worked as a litigation associate at Kasdorf, Lewis & Swietlik in Milwaukee.
Kristin volunteers with the State Bar of Wisconsin Mock Trial Tournament and is a member of the Association for Women Lawyers.
Kristin received her law degree from Marquette University Law School and her undergraduate degree from UW–Madison. She and her family live in Sun Prairie.
Bryant joined the Bank of Sun Prairie as a trust officer in 2021. He handles a broad range of matters, including trust and estate administration, agency accounts and guardianships. Bryant was in private practice for four and a half years, most recently as an associate attorney at Zerbst & Kluck, S.C., in Madison. While in private practice, Bryant litigated a wide range of civil issues, completed estate planning and administered estates through probate. Before practicing in Madison, Bryant was an associate attorney at the Consigny Law Firm, S.C., in Janesville.
Bryant is a member of the Dane County Bar Association and is volunteer coordinator for Dane County Regionals of the Wisconsin High School Mock Trial competition. He also serves as board member for Access to Independence. Bryant is a “double badger,” having earned both his undergraduate and law degree at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He lives in Madison with his husband, and they enjoy hiking, going to the farmers’ market and playing board games.
Luke joined Sun Prairie Financial Services in 2021 as financial advisor through the bank’s partner MML Investors Services, LLC (Wisconsin Insurance License #19350709). He was most recently a financial advisor with WestPoint Financial Group and MML Investors in their Madison office and previously worked at Principal Financial Group and CUNA Mutual Group.
Luke holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. When not at work, Luke enjoys golf, hockey and working out.
Gabrielle Loeffler currently holds the role of vice president, residential lending manager at Bank of Sun Prairie. Gabby has oversight for the mortgage area and leads a team of residential bankers and private bankers in all mortgage activities. She has been in the mortgage and banking industry for more than 15 years. Prior to this, she was a real estate agent in south central Wisconsin until she found her real passion in mortgage banking. She has worked in both loan origination and loan processing.
Gabby has extensive experience in conventional and government loan programs with direct lending, correspondent lending and third-party originator lending. She is volunteers in area chambers and nonprofits, most notably delivering Meals on Wheels for Colonial Club. She and her husband John, who is also a banker and volunteer firefighter, reside locally and give back to their communities in every way possible.
Bryan has been in banking and financial services since 2005 and in leadership roles in publishing, office solutions and food manufacturing. He is currently head of Bank of Sun Prairie’s private banking practice as vice president, private banker. He has a bachelor’s in business finance from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.
Bryan has lived in the Madison area most of his life and is a native of McFarland. Being an avid outdoorsman, when he is not working hard for private banking customers, Brian enjoys fishing, hunting, traveling and spending time with his family.
Michelle has been with the Bank of Sun Prairie for 40+ years. In 1981, she began her career as a teller. In 1982 she became an executive assistant and loan processor for residential and commercial real estate division. Then she moved to assistant vice president, residential lending.
Michelle’s professional affiliations include serving as past board member of FIPCO and current member of the Realtors Association of South-Central Wisconsin. She is actively involved with the Sun Prairie community and supports the Sun Prairie Education Foundation, Sunshine Place, Habitat for Humanity and the local Parade of Homes.
Andrea Belanger joined Bank of Sun Prairie in 2021 and is a 15+-year financial services veteran. She current serves as assistant vice president, residential lender in southeastern Dane County and Rock County. She brings a strong mortgage-lending and bank-branch-management background to her role.
Andrea is a native of Rock County and has worked in Stoughton and Janesville during her banking career at a regional bank based in Wisconsin and other financial institutions. Prior to that, Andrea worked for Tuscany Custom Homes and Geneva National Resort and owned Castaways’ restaurant in Beloit and Janesville. She is a graduate of Beloit Memorial High School and studied marketing at Blackhawk Technical College.
Monica is a bilingual residential loan officer dedicated to providing exceptional service in English and Spanish. She is a 20+-year seasoned banker and has been in mortgage lending since 2015, now serving as assistant vice president, residential lender. She is passionate about customer service and leverages her expert-level knowledge to guide borrowers to their optimal mortgage structure — helping them achieve their financial goals.
Monica has experience in helping homebuyers at every level from first-time buyers to the most experienced buyers. And she always goes the extra mile to offer the best loan programs and rates, all while helping the buyer understand all the aspects of the home buying process including tips on how to secure a down payment.
Don Griffin joined Bank of Sun Prairie in 2023 and has been in the banking and mortgage fields since 1994. Through years of managing retail banks and mortgage teams, along with being a dedicated residential mortgage lender since 2012, he’s able to work for his customers to help meet their specific home goals. Whether seasoned or first-time buyers, builders, or investors, you will be in great hands. Don’s commitment to top-level customer service and personalized attention to customer’s needs has helped build strong connections in the Dane County area for the past three decades. Don graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a bachelor's degree in finance and he uses this along with his work experience to provide a full financial picture approach to his customers.
Outside of work, Don loves to be active with friends and family. Whether watching Wisconsin sports teams, golfing, playing games, hunting, fishing, doing road trips with family throughout the United States, or walking his dog, he keeps moving. In addition to being active, he has volunteered for Meals on Wheels, The River Food Pantry, Habitat for Humanity, United Way, and served on the finance committees for his home association and church.
Amy Fosdick joined Bank of Sun Prairie in 2023 and has had an illustrious career in home lending across Dane County since 2001. Amy is committed to making the process of home financing as painless and stress-free as possible. She stays current with the ever-evolving home-buying industry, she is always available for her clients and takes them through the mortgage process as efficiently and comfortably as possible. Amy is relentless – she turns over every stone to get the deal done timely, and with a smile.
Amy and her husband Scooter live in Cottage Grove, and they are highly active in the community proudly supporting local businesses, residents and nonprofits. Amy currently serves on the Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors as president-elect, golf committee chair, and member of ambassador committee.
In her free time, Amy enjoys golfing, playing Euchre, bags, and sewing.
Shannon Krachey has worked in banking for more than 25 years in a variety of key roles. She worked her way up from teller and personal banker to teller supervisor, assistant manager, executive administrator and project manager to leading the mortgage processing area for Bank of Sun Prairie currently as assistant vice president, mortgage processing supervisor. Shannon takes pride in providing professional and courteous service to both internal and external customers and enjoys strong connections with bank colleagues.
When not at work, she is happiest when she spends time with her family in competitive bowling and relaxing at their lake cabin; she, her husband and kids live in Sun Prairie and are active community members.
Kristy has been in banking and with Bank of Sun Prairie for more than 26 years. Her roles have included teller, commercial processor, loan operations representative and now supervisor. When not at work, Kristy enjoys watching her daughter play softball and everything “warm weather” outside, shopping and crafting.
Stephanie has been in the banking industry in Wisconsin for 25 years, currently serving as vice president, branch banking for Bank of Sun Prairie. Prior to Bank of Sun Prairie, she served as a retail market leader for a regional bank based in Wisconsin. She is passionate about her work in banking, which gives her the ability to make a real impact on the lives of individuals, families and small businesses in the greater Madison area
Stephanie is bilingual and fluent in Spanish, so she is driven to help the Latinx community connect to critical resources in financial services and continuing education. She serves on the board of directors of LUCES Wisconsin and the Business Education Partnership in Sun Prairie. She and her wife have two children in the Latinx community, and they live on the East Side of Madison.
Deb Krebs is a veteran at Bank of Sun Prairie and serves as vice president, community and strategic partnerships. Her philosophy in this critical role is to give back wholeheartedly to the communities the bank serves — and to Deb giving back means something tangible, such as showing up, pitching in, and giving as much of your time and resources as you can. Deb is on point for organizing all bank employees for all community volunteer opportunities and is the bank liaison for all area nonprofits and charitable organizations. She also serves on other boards such as Sunshine Place and Downtown Business Improvement District both in Sun Prairie and Prairie Ridge Health Foundation in Columbus, Wis.
Deb is a dedicated, loyal community service and marketing professional and is eager to apply her experience and skills to help make a difference.
Teri joined Bank of Sun Prairie in 2019 as assistant vice president, marketing content strategy, where she is on point for marketing communications, content and brand. She’s spent her marketing career in leadership and management roles in healthcare, financial services, associations and manufacturing after earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point.
Teri is a Sun Prairie native and enjoys the ability to get involved in local organizations through serving on the Sun Prairie Action Council of Boys & Girls Club of Dane County, Sun Prairie Optimists and Friends of the Sun Prairie Media Center. She and her husband are local business owners and live in Sun Prairie with their dog Molly.
Ashley has been with Bank of Sun Prairie since June 2006, where she has served in several functions, including as a teller, in the operations department as primary point of contact for business online banking and, now in card services. She is currently assistant vice president, payment solutions manager, where she plays a role in helping business customers effectively manage their banking activities. She also oversees the bank’s network of ATMs.
Ashley earned her bachelor’s degree in business at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. She is a Cottage Grove native and lives there with her family. Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and playing sports — and she is an avid fan of all her home-state sports: Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Bucks.
Pam has worked in various leadership capacities and customer-service roles for more than 20 years, of which more than six years in banking. She currently serves as assistant vice president, senior branch manager. She enjoys educating customers and colleagues on financial topics through her leadership of the Bank of Sun Prairie’s financial education platform, Financial Fitness Center. Pam uses her background in education through her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay. Pam has a passion for helping customers through education and doing what she can to set them up for success so they are able to achieve their dreams.
Pam serves on the board of directors of the Friends of the City of Sun Prairie’s Neighborhood Navigators and is president of the Sun Prairie Business and Education Partnership. She is actively involved in other community events and organizations. Her free time is spent with her three children who inspire her to be better every day.
Deanna has 25 years of retail banking experience. Her passions in her banking career are centered around three areas, coaching employees to be the best version of themselves, exceptional customer service and advancing financial education. She holds an associate’s degree from Madison College in business. Deanna resides in Sun Prairie with her family and enjoys spending time with her family boating, ice skating, exploring new restaurants and breweries, cooking and traveling. She also greatly enjoys volunteering in the community.
Brittany Belanger has served in various leadership roles including sales management, human resources management, and operational management for more than ten years prior to joining Bank of Sun Prairie in 2022 as branch manager. She has adopted a style of goal-oriented training centered around playing games and having fun; and she recognizes the importance of celebrating her team members’ successes. Brittany’s role as coach and mentor advances deep understanding of products, techniques and creating efficiencies. She enjoys meeting our customers and getting to know them as individuals. Brittany studied human resources at Madison College. In her free time, she enjoys movies, wine tasting and campfires. Brittany is also a collectable reseller with a specialty in the game of Monopoly.
LaTonia has been in banking more than 16 years, since 2006. She joined Bank of Sun Prairie in 2018 and currently serves as senior banker at the bank’s Broadway Drive location in Sun Prairie. LaTonia is focused on growth and development within the company. She has worked her way up from senior teller to relationship banker to assistant branch manager to her current role as retail branch manager. She previously worked at Associated Bank’s Fitchburg branch for 13 years and held various leadership roles as senior teller, teller supervisor and assistant branch manager.
LaTonia serves as board member of the Sun Prairie Business Education Partnership and member of the Diverse Parent Leadership Team at Patrick Marsh Middle School, Sun Prairie. A Chicago native, she relocated to Madison in 2006 when her banking career began. LaTonia also has other interests and passions; she is a proud small business owner of She Nail Boutique, located in Sun Prairie, and is an active community volunteer. When she rests, she enjoys spending time with her family traveling and her role as a “basketball mom.”
